Bio
"Herman Wegener, died at his home north east of here Sunday morning at 11 o'clock after a sickness of ten days from a complication of diseases. He was twenty-seven years of age and was unmarried. He farmed with one of his brothers for a number of years. He is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wegener of this place and he was well known in this community as he was born and raised here. He was always a nice and peaceable young man of good habits and was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. He was buried at 10 o'clock Wednesday morning at the St. Bernard cemetery. He leaves his parents, two sisters and six brothers to mourn his loss. John Wegener of the western part of this state was home to attend the funeral of his brother. The bereaved family has our most heartfelt sympathy." ("The Humphrey Democrat", 3 Feb 1911, p. 1)
