Bio

Martha Josephine Godar, 80, of 200 Carlson Ave., Apt.18 D, died Friday, Oct. 16, 1992, at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Born Feb. 22, 1912, in East Peoria to Arthur Roswell and Nellie Mae Pearl Twiggs Bisco, she married Gordon Gustin Godar on Nov. 9, 1941, in University City, Mo. He died Feb. 9, 1976, in Peoria. Two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death. Surviving are one brother, Henry Earl Bisco of Roanoke; and three sisters, Agnes Mae Gaba and Cora Marie Struebing, both of East Peoria, and Elsie Pearl Cook of Columbia, Ky. She was a seamstress at K.L. Burgette and C.M. Cook in Peoria for 15 years, retiring in 1979. She was a member of Moose Lodge Auxiliary and Caterpillar Retirees. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
