Rev. Ruby Marie Harms, age 88, native and resident of Summerdale, Alabama went to her heavenly home on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. Rev. Harms pastored the Greenwood Bible Deliverance Church for over 44 years. She served her community, loved to cook and was on the board of Living Word Faith Fellowship. She was active in foreign missions and loved to travel. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Stephen Harms and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Ard and all of her siblings. Rev. Harms is survived by her husband of nearly seventy years, Ronald Harms; three children, Fritz Edwin Harms (Linda), Dewey Elvin Harms (Sherilyn) and Rhonda Darlene Bryant (Ronnie); grandchildren, Wendi Bryant Byrd (Gary), Brian Harms (Tracy), Teri Bryant Baggett (Tim), Stevie Harms, Susan Bryant Patterson (Bill), Jeremy Harms (Sarah), and Jared Harms (Aubree); great-grandchildren, Corey Baggett (Shawn), Kayla Rider Lomax (Nick), Aaron Baggett, Tyler Baggett (Makaela), Landon Baggett, Kaden Byrd, Starlyn White, Kamryn Byrd, Seth White, Mattie Robin, Reagan Harms, Evelyn Harms, Luke Harms and Trinity Harms and seven great-great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 28, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Vine Church in Summerdale, Alabama. Funeral service will be on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at 11:00 AM at The Vine Church with burial to follow in Greenwood Memorial Cemetery in Summerdale, Alabama. Rev. Teri Baggett and Rev. Michael Lynn will be officiating. Well known as Sister Marie Harms, but Aunt Ree to me... She devoted her whole life as a minister or preacher to her community and beyond. She helped, blessed and gave to everyone she met... I am sure she is VIP in Heaven. Respect! and integrity!. she earned in life.
