Rubie Dean 1900 - 1982 Rubie Lorine Fletcher Dean was born in Anderson Co, TX to George W. and Sarah Lottie Carter Fletcher. Her parents are also buried in Fields Chapel Cemetery. She shares a stone with her husband, John Lee Bert Dean, who she married 21 February 1915 in Anderson County. Palestine (TX) Herald-Press, Friday, 26 November 1982: Mrs. Dean Funeral services for Mrs. Rubie Lorine Dean, 82, of 1314 N. Queen will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Bailey Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, the Rev. Dan Darby officiating. Burial will be in Fields Chapel Cemetery. Mrs. Dean died early this morning in Anderson County Memorial Hospital. A native of Anderson County, she was born July 1, 1900, a daughter of the late George and Lottie Fletcher. She was a member of Fields Chapel United Methodist Church. Her husband, John Lee "Bert" Dean, died in 1956. Survivors include five sons, Emory Bee Dean, James Dean, B. B. Dean and Willard Dean, all of Palestine, and D. D. Dean of Odessa; a daughter, Mrs. Eva Clair Tenny of Palestine; 22 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be the following grandsons, Harold Dean, Roger Dean, Kerry Dean, Gary Dean, Dalton Dean and Rober Dickey. Condolence calls will be received at 204 Second St.
