Bio

Emory was born in Anderson Co, TX to John Lee "Bert" and Rubie Lorine Fletcher Dean. His parents are buried in Fields Chapel Cemetery. Emory served in the Army Air Corps during World War II and was an inspector for Glass Containers Corp. He was a member of Montalba Christian Church and Glass Bottle Blowers Association Union Local No. 86. He shares a stone with his wife, Curtis Katherine Washington Dean. After her death, he married Ruth Katherine Brooks Wagner on 8 January 1980 in Anderson Co, TX. He was residing in Palestine at the time of his death there. He was survived by two sons, Harold Dean of Slocum, and Roger Dale Dean of Tyler; three brothers, Burma Bert Dean of Long Lake, Denzil Dalton Dean of Odessa, and Willard Dean of Palestine; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. His obituary was published in the Palestine Herald-Press, Wednesday, 16 March 2005.
