Funeral services for Madeline Winkel Minter, 87, of Angleton will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2021 at Palms Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2021 at Palms Funeral Home. Madeline was born September 2, 1933 in Spurger, Texas to Mary Willey Winkel and John Winkel and passed away Thursday, March 18, 2021 in Clute, Texas. Madeline, an Angleton resident since 1969, was married to Rayborn ("R.D.") Minter on July 14, 1948 in Jasper, Texas. She retired from Angleton Danbury General Hospital after more than 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, R.D., her parents, infant son, Arther, and 9 brothers and sisters. Madeline is survived by her sons, Gary Minter and wife, Linda, of Angleton, TX, Davis Minter and wife, Kathy, of Gary, TX, John Minter and wife, Gay, of Angleton, TX and Buster Herndon and wife, Sherry, of Spurger, 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandchildren. For the safety of all attending, mask and are required and social distancing is encouraged. Palms Funeral Home
