The Gresham Gazette (Gresham, Nebr.), November 23, 1945, p. 1, col. 1 Frank Hamsa Dies Suddenly This community was shocked and saddened Monday morning when it became known that Mr. Frank Hamsa had passed away. Mr. Hamsa had been suffering from a heart ailment the past two years. He sold his business here in July and has been living a quiet life at this home. Sunday evening he suffered an attack and was rushed to the David City hospital, but medical aid could not revive him. He is survived by his wife, Verna his father, Frank Hamsa, Sr., of Dwight, Nebr., two brothers, James of David City, Nebr., and Jake of Dwight, Nebr.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Novacek of Dwight, Nebr. Funeral services were held at the McVey Funeral Home in David City Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. Burial was in the Surprise Cemetery.
