Bio
Bonnie Dell, age 77, died in St. Mary Hospital in Lubbock. She was born in Rockdale, Tx.,the daughter of Ernest J. Sproles and Lucy Irene (Gee) Sproles. She married Deo D. Blakely on Jan. 15, 1937, in Delight, Ark. He died Sept. 15, 1984. She married Clarence Peterson in September 1995. He died in April 1996. She moved to Levelland from Williston, N.D., in 1996. She was a member of Fairview Baptist Church. She had worked in food service for the Levelland Independent School District, South Plains College and several restaurants. A daughter, Pam Sizemore, died Aug. 29, 1977. Survivors included a son, Donnie Blakely of Levelland; three daughters, Dell Shirley of Bastrop, Irene Bowman of Abilene and Charlene Allen of Thoreau, N.M.; four brothers, Jack Sproles of Tacoma, Wash., Ray Sproles of Lubbock, Troy Sproles of Grand Prairie and Leon Sproles of Slaton; three sisters, Flora Mayes of Malvern, Ark., Betty Moore of Lubbock, and Virginia Miller of Hot Springs, Ark.; 16 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren. Burial was in the City of Levelland Cemetery. Services were directed by Geo. C. Price Funeral Directors.
