Bio
Earnest Leon Sproles, Sr., 89, of Big Spring, formerly of Lubbock, passed from this life on June 9, 2020. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:30 pm on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at Krestridge Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 3:00 pm at Sundown Cemetery. He was born August 29, 1930 in Lamesa to Earnest Jefferson and Lucy Irene (Gee) Sproles. Leon was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a retired barber. Leon was preceded in death by his wife, Mariana Popejoy Sproles; parents; 5 brothers; and 5 sisters. He is survived by his son, Earnest Leon (Laura) Sproles, Jr.; daughters, Patricia (Ronnie) Whitaker, Julie (Curtis) Lester, Mari (James) Clark and Lisa (Brian) King; 10 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild. Arrangements are under the direction and personal care of the professionals at Krestridge Funeral Home.
