Bio

J.T. "Jack" Sproles was born October 8, 1921 in Rockdale, Texas, to Earnest Jefferson Sproles, Sr. and Lucy Irene Gee. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II before transferring to the U.S. Air Force where he served in the Korean War and made his career. He retired from the Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He married Betty Jean Kelly in 1943 in Tacoma, Washington. From this marriage, he is survived by daughters, Karen Spalding and Jackie Watson; sons, Kevin Sproles and Jeffrey Sproles. Betty Jean preceded him in death in January of 1997. After her death he returned to his home state of Texas and married Rosemary Payne. He is survived by his wife, Rosemary; her children, Bob Sproles, Richard Sproles, Roseanne Decker, Randal Sproles and Rhonda Carter; brothers, Leon and Troy Sproles; a sister, Virginia Miller; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
