Bio

Troy Elmer Langston, Sr. was born December 30, 1902 in Sapa, Webster County, Mississippi to James Francis Furman Langston and Martha Jane Byrd Langston. He went by the name of "Elmer" and operated several businesses in and around Bessemer, Alabama, including automobile sales. He first married Mary O. Pearson and then Abbie Silfies. It is not known for sure that he is buried in the Bessemer Cemetery. Other children of James F. and Martha Jane Byrd Langston and siblings of T.E. Langston, Sr. were: Jettye; Naoma; Mazye; and John Bunyan Langston.(GMT)
