Dorothy Faye Stanley November 7, 1929 - October 29, 2020 Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Graveside services for Dorothy Faye Stanley, 90, will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, November 1, 2020, at Ashland Cemetery with Brother John Hines officiating. Mrs. Stanley passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020. Dorothy was born on November 7, 1929, in Marshall, Texas to James C. and Delia Lou Simmons. She was a homemaker, and worked in local diners cooking her favorite meals for everyone. She was married to Alton Jackson Stanley, who precedes her in death. Also preceding her are her parents; a son, Robert Joe Stanley; a daughter, Rebecca Kay Ellison; and siblings, Alford Simmons, Johnny Simmons, Flora Lynch, Wanda Frasher and Cassie Gage. Survivors include her sons, Willie Steve Stanley and wife, Tammy, Eddie Lynn Stanley; brothers, Jimmy Simmons, Joe Simmons, Gary Simmons; sisters, Katie Stanley, Ann Carter, Jean Clark; nineteen grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
