Funeral services for Raymond Garland Brister, 85, of DeRidder, will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 15, 2021 in the Labby Memorial Funeral Home of Leesville. Burial will follow in the Brister Cemetery in Leesville. Visitation will be Wednesday, July 14, 2021 from 6:00 P.M– 8:00 P.M in the funeral home. Raymond was born on October 21, 1935 in Leesville, Louisiana to his parents, Mike Paul & Azalee Bailey Brister. He passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 in DeRidder. He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Garland Ray Brister, brothers; James Jake Brister, James Luther Brister, James Grover Brister, James Elmer Brister, sister; Ed V. Smith. Left to cherish his memory is his wife; Bonnie Brister of DeRidder, LA., daughter; Sandra Lee Ashworth of Rosepine, LA., sister; Jessie V. Walker of New Llano, LA., grandsons; Brandon Roshong (Jessie) of Pitkin, LA., Blake Wologo of DeRidder, LA., granddaughter; Courtney Brister of Leesville, LA., and three great grandchildren.
