Bio

Gloria Ann Peacock, 67, of Thorndale, died Thursday, March 11, 2004 at a Temple hospital. Celebration of Life Services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, March 15, 2004 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Vicki Averitt officiating. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery. Gloria was born to Ernest and Matilda (Kropp) Buchanan on September 13, 1936, in LaGrange Texas. Gloria loved bowling, volleyball, playing the slot machines, and working in her yard. Her greatest love was her family and grandchildren. She was married to Clifton Peacock on October 13, 1955, at the Trinity Methodist Church in Austin. Gloria is preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Doyle Buchanan. Gloria is survived by her loving husband, Clifton Peacock of Thorndale; one son, Clifton Harley Peacock of Austin; her two daughters, Carla Peacock Prikryl and husband, Cary and Cheryl Robertson both of Thorndale; four grandchildren, Cory Peacock, Cayle Peacock, Tanner Hoffman, and Dalton Robertson all of Thorndale; one brother, James Buchanan and wife, Alice of Thorndale; and three sisters, Hazel Raesz of Rockdale, LaVerne Beard of Denver, Colorado, and Marjorie Bagget and husband, Roy of Gatesville. Pallbearers include Dennis Karkoska, Marshall Karkoska, David Karkoska, Billy Peacock, Bryan Storey, and Jerome Buchanan.
