Bio

Mrs. Grace Virginia Campbell, nee Cyphert, wife of L. M. Campbell of Clarion, passed away at her home on South Fourth Avenue, Monday morning, April 12, 1915, at half past six o'clock, after just one week of sickness from la grippe, which culminated in pleuro-pneumonia and caused her death. Mrs. Campbell was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Cyphert, and was born Nov. 10, 1868, at Williamsburg. She was married to L. M. Campbell on May 19, 1891, who now survives her with the following children: Alice Higgins, Ralph, Frederick, Francis, Raymond, Mabel, William and Zoe Campbell. Besides her mother, she also leaves the following brothers and sisters: H.H., Benj. O., and A.R. Cyphert, and Mrs. James Runyan, of Clarion; Mrs. Frank Brown and Mrs. Annie Turner, Pittsburgh; and Mrs. Lida William, Reidsburg. Three children preceded their mother in death. Mrs. Campbell has been a member of the Baptist Church for many years and was a devoted Christian woman. She was a splendid neighbor and a loving wife and mother, and will be sorely missed. Funeral services were held in the First Baptist Church Wednesday afternoon and were conducted by the pastor, Rev. Walter E. Reynolds, a large company of relatives, friends and neighbors being present. The interment followed in the Clarion Cemetery. Mr. Campbell and his family of children have the deepest sympathy of the entire community in their great loss. Source: Clarion Democrat
