RODENBECK, W. C. "Bill" of Thorndale. Age 76. Died 10/1/1974 (Wed.) in a Taylor hospital following a several months illness. Services held (Friday) in St.John's Lutheran Church in Thorndale. Burial held in Detmold Cemetery. His pastor, Walter J. Miller officiated. Condra Funeral Home of Taylor in charge of arrangements. BORN 12/16/1897 in Washington County, TX. He was a retired merchant and resident of Thorndale area for 70 years. Longtime member of above church. SURVIVORS: Wife, Mrs. Louise Rodenbeck; 6 daughters, Mrs. Ruth Hennig, Mrs. Lorene Moehnke, Mrs. Katy Mikus, Mrs. Margaret Thaler, Mrs. Frances Miller and Mrs. Carol Glenn; 2 sons, William C. (Sonny) Rodenbeck, Jr. and Mervin (Dusty) Rodenbeck; 2 sisters, Mrs. Herman (Louise) Klotz and Mrs. Gus (Esther) Kloppe; a brother, Edwin C. Rodenbeck; 22 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; number of nieces and nephews.
