RODENBECK, Elmo C. of Thorndale. Age 66. Died 4/2/1970 (Thursday) in a Temple hospital. Services held (Friday) in St.John Lutheran church. Burial in Taylor City Cemetery. Pastor, Rev. Walter Miller officiated. Condra Funeral Home of Taylor in charge of arrangements. He was BORN 4/11/1903 in Texas, the son of the late Wilhelm and Henrietta Cassen Rodenbeck. Married Martha Kerlin on 12/26/1926. SURVIVORS: 2 daughters, Mrs. Harry (Dorothy Mae) Leschber and Mrs. Melvin (Betty) Hirt, both of Thorndale; son, H.L. (Dick) Rodenbeck of Boerne; 2 sisters, Mrs. Herman (Louise) Klotz and Mrs. Gus (Esther) Kloppe of Throndale; 3 brothers, W.C. (Bill) Rodenbeck, Edwin Rodenbeck and Martin H. Rodenbeck; 7 grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.
