Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, August 10th at Faith Community Church in Aurora. Rev. Fred Nofer will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Ott, the son of Wilhelm (Bill) and Elizabeth (Feuerstein) Ott was born in Henderson, Nebraska on February 18, 1927 and died in Aurora, Nebraska on August 6, 2007, at the age of 80. Marvin grew up in Henderson and attended school through the 8th grade. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, serving a portion of his time in Japan, and was honorably discharged on December 6, 1946. Marvin was united in marriage to Leola Frederiksen on April 28, 1945 at Belleville, Kansas. They were blessed by God with three children, Terry, Marva and Lonnie. They lived near Aurora and later moved to Giltner where he farmed for several years. They returned to Aurora in 1957, where he worked for Grosshans Lumber and several years with Sack Lumber Co. until he retired in 1992. Soon after Marvin began working for Crossroads Court as a groundskeeper. In 1991, their great-granddaughter Anjela came to live with them and he devoted so much love and care to that little girl until her passing in September of 2006. He was a strong and faithful man to his family and to the Lord. He attended and was a member of Faith Community Church. He was a hard worker and loved by all that came to know him. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Orville Ott, sister, Wilma O'Brien, daughter, Marva Ott and great-granddaughter, Anjela Martinez. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Leola Ott of Aurora; two sons, Terry (Linda) Ott of Aurora and Lonnie (Barbara) Ott of Okeene, Oklahoma; 7 grandchildren, Deb (Cody) Quick, Teresa Crawford and friend Justin Storm, Nikkol Martinez, Kimberly Wessels, Jeffrie Ott and friend Cheriti Zulkoski, Kasey (Janna) Wessels and Tim Ott; 24 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great granddaughters and two sisters, Evelyn Maw and Delores Elliottt both of Aurora.
