Brother of Magdalena "Freida" , Lena Anna , Anna Henrietta "Annie" , Fritz Karl "Charlie" , Hans Ernest , Karl Gustav "Gus" Jr , Johanna Maria "Mary" , Walter and Alice Benad. Fritz never married. ~~~~~ Cause of Death: Heart Failure from Mitral Stenosis. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~O~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Austin American-Statesman (Austin, Texas) 16 March 1929, Saturday Page 2 Man Drops Dead On Taylor Street ----- Fritz Benad Victim Of Heart Attack ----- Special to Austin American TAYLOR, March 15.--Fritz Benad, 36[sic], a resident of the Noack community near here, dropped dead 10 minutes after he had entered the office of Dr. J.J. Johns at the Taylor Sanitarium here Friday afternoon. Heart disease, contracted following an illness with rheumatic fever when he was five years of age, was said to have been the cause. Benad had called to consult the physician about his condition, and was in the waiting room of the doctor's office when he fell dead. He operated a filling station at Noack until a year ago, since which time he has been a semi-invalid, it was said by relatives here. Funeral arrangements had not been made late Friday. ~~~~~~~~~~O~~~~~~~~~~ Austin American-Statesman (Austin, Texas) 17 March 1929, Sunday Page 7 FRITZ BENAD Special to Sunday American Statesman TAYLOR, March 16.--Funeral services for Fritz Benad, who dropped dead in a doctor's office here Friday afternoon will be held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock with services by a minister of the Lutheran church and interment in the Sandoval cemetery. Mr. Benad was born in White Hall[sic], Tex., Dec. 21, 1889, and has lived in Williamson county for 29 years. He is survived by five sisters, Mrs. Emil Beyer and Mrs. Frank Lemmer[sic] of Williamson county, Mrs. Albert Groos[sic] of Hourson, Mrs. Otto Remmer[sic] of Holland and Mrs. August Johle of Belle[sic] county, also four brothers, Charles, Walter and Hans of Williamson county and Gus of Bell county.
