Bio

Karl Gustav "Gus" Benad, Sr, born in Weissenberg, Saxony, Germany, to Gustav Benad and Marie Englemann. He married, 14 February 1881, in Dresden, Deutschland (Germany), Miss Henrietta Bachmann , a daughter of Carl Bachmann and (possibly) Johanne Rosine Hausmann. They immigrated to the USA, 25 March 1884, on the SS Neckar with their two daughters - Magdalena "Freida" and Lena Anna Benad. They had 8 children born in TX: Anna Henrietta "Annie" , Fritz Karl "Charlie" , August "Fritz" , Ernest "Hans" , Karl Gustav "Gus" Jr , Johanna Maria "Mary" , Walter and Alice Benad. Gus died from Leukemia on 4 July 1919, in Hare, Williamson Co., TX. It was originally believed that Gus' name was Gustav D Benad Sr, until today (01/27/2019) when I found the marriage record of Gus and Henrietta. Verified with the record including their dates of birth.
