Dwight "Kas" M. Kasper, 62, of Columbus died Monday, May 22, 2000, at BryanLGH Medical Center East in Lincoln. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at McKown Funeral Home in Columbus. The Rev. Dave Patterson will officiate. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Kasper was born on Jan. 26, 1938, at Columbus to Rudolph and May (Lusche) Kasper. He graduated from Columbus High School in 1956. He married Phyllis Reigle-Young on Dec. 31, 1984, in Yankton, S.D. He drove a truck for Hull and Smith Van Co. He also trained horses and worked as a starter for the Nebraska Racing Association. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include his wife; a stepson, David J. Young of Columbus; two stepdaughters, Lynn (Mrs. Rick) Hellbusch of Bellwood and Julie Krzycki of Columbus; six grandchildren; and two brothers, Bill Kasper of Fremont and Gary Kasper of Tulsa, Okla.
