William R. "Bill" Kasper, 75, of Fremont passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 at his home. Bill was born Feb. 12, 1943 in Columbus to Rudolph and May (Lusche) Kasper. Bill grew up in Columbus and graduated from Columbus High School. He married Jolene Cave in 1965 in Fremont. They moved to Litchfield, MN where he ran the warehouse for Vigortone Ag. Products. In 1980, they came to Fremont and he worked and drove truck for Vigortone Ag. Products for many years. Later he ran his own pilot car service until his retirement in 2010. Bill loved to fish and be with his family. He was a member of Fremont Anglers Club. Survived by his wife, Jolene; daughters, Risa Daubert and Ronda Thompson & fiancé, Shad Schellenberg, all of Fremont; brother, Gary(Jamie)Kasper of Porter, OK; grandchildren, Zach Thompson, Zaena Cusick, Maddie, Blayre, Bodie, Greely and Daylee Daubert; great grandchildren, Andra Thompson, Charleigh and Calum Cusick. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Dwight Kasper. Funeral 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Fremont. Visitation will be from 10-11 a.m.. Wednesday at the church. Private interment will be at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. The Columbus Telegram, April 10, 2018
