• PORT ROYAL - Mahlon A. Benner, 87, of 16 First St. died Saturday in Centre Community Hospital, State College. He was a retired mechanic for Ganoe Motors, Lewistown; a bus driver for the former Potter's Bus Line, Mifflintown; and the widower of Mary E. Comp Benner. Surviving are four sons, Harold M. of Belvedere, Ill., Alton H. of Ballston Lake, N.Y., Robert E. of Port Royal, and David W. of Camp Hill; four daughters, Dolores Singer of Lewistown, Carleen Weiand of Lewistown RD 3, Linda Zimmerman of New Cumberland, and Nancy Shirk of Reedsville; two brothers, Oliver of Williamsport and Howard of Middletown; 13 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Rex Funeral Home, Port Royal, with the Rev. Robert G. Campbell. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery, Selinsgrove.
