"Doris A. McDonald, age 75, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015, at her daughter's residence in Lincoln. Doris was born October 19, 1939 to Adolf and Lillian Jindra in Stanton County, Nebraska. She attended Clarkson High School in Clarkson, Nebraska, until moving to Fremont. Here she met Gary McDonald and they were later married in Medford, Oklahoma, on December 18, 1957. Doris worked for Campbell's Soup until going to work for Western Electric in Omaha for over 40 years. During her employment she earned many awards and certificates, most notably being recognized for her perfect attendance. Doris was a hard worker who put other people before herself. She was an excellent cook and loved to bake Christmas cookies. She also enjoyed watching and cheering on the Cornhuskers, hunting, and gardening. Doris loved spending time with her granddaughters and especially her great-grandchildren attending many of their sporting events. She also had a very special friend in her granddaughter's yorkie Mac.
