Obituary for Mr. W. D. Ard Mr. W.D. Ard, age 85, a native of Elsanor, AL and a resident of Silverhill, AL passed away on Wednesday, December 18, 2019. Mr. Ard was lifelong farmer and an avid fisherman. He was the former owner of L.A. Raceway and enjoyed Alabama football. He made a lifetime of helping people and loved his family and friends. He was preceded in death by daughter, Wanda Jean Ard and is survived by his wife of 66 years, Shirley Ard; two daughters, Lacy Ard (Bobby) Giles and Elizabeth “Bo” Ard (John) Cameron; sister, Susie Mae Richardson; three grandchildren, Tabitha (Ken) Woodard, Lindsay (Josh) Ryan and Bruce Peturis and four great grandchildren, Chloe Ryan, Riley Woodard, Fisher Ryan and Carter Woodard. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 23, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Silverhill Covenant Church with Pastor Jesse Adams officiating. Burial will be in the Silverhill Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Sunday, December 22, 2019 at Mack Funeral Home Obituary by Mack Funeral of Robertsdale, AL
