Bio

ARD Merriel S. Ard, 81, a native and lifelong resident of Robertsdale, Alabama, died Wednesday, June 13, 2007. He is a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He loved to fish and hunt and was a longtime produce farmer in central Baldwin County Alabama. Survivors include two daughters, Judy Kaiser of Gulf Shores and Brenda Calvert of Robertsdale; sister, Susie Mae Richardson of Robertsdale; three brothers, Gloyice Ard of Orange Beach, Alonzo Ard of Robertsdale and W.D. Ard of Silverhill; four grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Funeral services were held Saturday, June 16 at Mack Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Young officiating. Burial followed at Hail Memorial Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory Robertsdale
