Bio

Alonzo Ard, age 85, a native and lifelong resident of Robertsdale, AL passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018. Mr. Ard served in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Korean War. He was a produce farmer in central Baldwin County. He was a man who loved to fish and visit with family and friends. He is preceded in death by infant son and wife, Mary Willodean Ard and is survived by three daughters, Ramona (Jimmy) Wagner of Silverhill, AL, Theresa (Steve) Brooks of Silverhill, AL, Lisa (Aubrey, Jr.) Grant of Robertsdale, AL; sister, Susie Richardson of Robertsdale, AL; brothers, W.D. Ard of Silverhill, AL; eight grandchildren, Derek Wagner, Devan Lovell, Lauren Langham, Scarlet Fountain, Shannon Goodwin, Stephanie Hull, Amber Hamilton, Michael Grant and 18 great grandchildren, Morgan, McKenna, Christian, Micah, Colbey, Gillian, Caleb, Kade, Emma Kate, Landon, Camden, Sydney, Sarah Claire, Tatum, Ellia, Karagan, Gage and Amelia Claire. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at 10 a.m. at the Robertsdale First Baptist Church with Rev. Jeff Copeland officiating. A visitation will be held Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Hail Memorial Cemetery, Robertsdale, AL. A special thank you to Covenant Hospice for their support to the family and the care they gave to Mr. Ard.
