Anna Christine Adamek, 99, died early in the morning of Nov. 30 at Genisis Care Center in Meridian, Idaho. She passed peacefully in her sleep after a long battle with what she referred to as "olditis." She was born on Feb. 17, 1918 in Elba, Nebraska to George and Inger Glarborg. She attended school in Logan, Nebraska. She graduated college in 1969 from Idaho State University with an Education Degree, although she had been teacher for several years prior. On Sept. 1, 1937 she married William "Bill" Frank Adamek in Aberdeen, Idaho. They returned to Nebraska to farm 11 years before returning to Idaho in 1948. They lived first in Firth, and settled at Blackfoot in 1973. She was preceeded in death by her husband in 1977. She was a memeber of Emmual Lutheran Church. After retiring in 1980 her pastimes included quilting, various church groups, traveling abroad, playing bridge, and being a devoted grandmother. She is survived by her son Phillip Adamek of Lewiston, Idaho, his wife Barbara Adamek, her daughter Mrs. Robert (Linda) Fisk, one sister Bernice Jensen of Bersferd, Nebraska. seven grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and three great-great children.
