Bio
Birdie Lawrence was born Oct. 22, 1905, at Orr, Love, Oklahoma(Indian Territory) to George Edwin and Sarah Ellen WADE, ALBIN. She died Jan. 3, 2001 In the Ardmore Hospital. Reared in the Center Point area, she married Robert James Lawrence Sr. on June 14, 1925, at Ringling, Jefferson, Oklahoma. They farmed in this area but spent most of their married life in Edmond and the Reo Grand Valley. They retire in 1962 and returned to Ringling in 1980. She was a member of the Gospel Tabernacle. She was preceded in death by her husband May 24, 1996; a son, James Lee, July 26, 1995; and 10 brothers and sisters. Survivors include a son Robert Jr., Fort Worth, Texas; two daughters, Wanda Bural, Ringling, and Colleen Thompson, Tyler, Texas; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Grandsons will serve as bearers.
