Taken from the Young Family genealogy book, dated December 1, 1981 . . . John Calvin Lafett Young moved with his parents to McLennan County, Texas about 1869. On April 27, 1884 he married Martha Ann "Mattie" Wyatt in McGregor, McLennan County, Texas. Mattie was the daughter of Dr. Joseph Wyatt and Serenia (aka Serena) Jane Wyatt (to a relative with the last name Wyatt). She was born May 17, 1869 in Fannin County, Texas. John Calvin Lafett Young died on July 21, 1905 and was buried in an unmarked grave in Sardis Cemetery, Comanche County, Texas. His wife died on July 4, 1943 and was buried in Sonora Cemetery, Sutton County, Texas. Their children were: Grover Alberta Young Kane, Joseph Bruno "J.B." Young , Sr., Thomas Pierce Young, Edwin Earl Young, John William "Will" Young, Clarence B. Young, Vida Ann Young Friess, Samuel Wyatt Young, Robert Sherrell Young, and Mable Frances Young Harper.
