Bio

George W.Sullivan,67,resident of Woodson,died at 2:29a.m.Saturday in Hendrick Memorial Hospital.He had been ill for three months and underwent surgery Feb.7. Funeral will be at 2:30p.m. Monday in the Central Church of Christ in Woodson with Gene B.Stanley of San Antonio,former minister,officiating.Burial will be in Woodson Cemetery with Melton Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Born Feb.19,1900 in Wise County,he married ELIZABETH JONES May 14,1919 in Woodson. They had lived in Woodson since their marriage. He farmed in Woodson area and had owned and operated a service station in Woodson until his retirement on Jan.11 of this year.He was a member of the Central Church of Christ and was a U.S.Army veteran of World War I.
