Bio

Daughter of Norman C. and Eugenia (Dodier) Roach. - - - - - - Roach, Stella, born January 28, 1909; died December 10, 1999, after a long and valiant struggle with Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by two brothers, Joseph Roach of Los Angeles and Edmund Roach of Lake Charles, Louisiana, and was preceded in death by her sister, Emory Matthews; and brothers, Arthur, Fred, Charles, Felix, Oscar, and Eugene. She will be missed by her 27 nieces and nephews and many grand nieces and grand nephews. Born in Laredo, Texas, Stella moved to California in the early 1930's and worked as a publicist for Globe Photos, Warner Bros. Studios, Paramount Pictures, Crippled Children's Hospital, Los Angeles Home Furnishing Mart, and the Pacific Design Center. Stella was a member and past president (1958-59) of Hollywood Women's Press Club, and an honorary member of the National Society of Interior Designers.
