Bio

ORD — Ina Fae Novak, 84, of Ord, passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2019, at the Good Samaritan Society in Grand Island. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Ord First United Methodist Church. The Revs. Stefanie Hayes and Glenda Pearson will officiate. Burial will be in the Ord Bohemian Cemetery. Ord Memorial Chapel is in charge of the arrangements. Ina Fae was born Sept. 4, 1934, at Ord, to Walter and Mary (Plejdrup) Jorgensen. She was raised in the Haskell Creek and Gravel Creek areas of Valley County. She received her education at Sunny Slope District #12 School and graduated from Ord High School in 1952. On April 8, 1953, Ina Fae was united in marriage to Eugene Novak at the Bethany Lutheran Church in Ord. The couple made their home on the farm west of Ord, until 2002, they moved into town. Ina Fae was a member of the Neighborly Sister’s Extension Club and Crimson Angels. Her hobbies included flowers, sewing, cooking and collecting and reading cookbooks. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids and loved her cat. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Eugene of Ord; three sons and two daughters-in-law, David and Louise of Mechanicsville, Md., Keith and Ellen of Seward, and Dale of Ord; a daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Brad Copple of Hastings; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her parents-in-law, Frank and Emma Novak; one brother, Harlan Jorgensen; and four sisters, Evelyn Jorgensen, Lorraine Goff, Dorothy Zulkoski and Norma Holden.
