Bio

Caroline is the daughter of Angelo M. & Carmela Alma Marie (Albanese) Matteo. Caroline married Victor P. Dean on July 27, 1940 in Norfolk, Nebraska. Caroline and Victor are the parents of three children: ~Gary ~Mike ~Stephanie ******** Services for Caroline D. Dean, 86, of Norfolk will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Norfolk. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. Sunday at Home for Funerals. She died Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at Heritage of Bel Air. Caroline was born on Sept. 17, 1921, in Omaha, the daughter of Angelo M. and Carmella M. (Albanese) Matteo. She attended school in Omaha and then moved to Norfolk with her family where she continued her schooling. She married Victory P. Dean on July 27, 1940, at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church. The couple made their home in Norfolk where they raised their family. She worked for the Norfolk Catholic Lunch Program for many years. .100She was a lifetime member of the VFW Auxiliary, a volunteer for the Senior Citizens Center and the Red Cross, and a member of the Catholic Daughters for 23 years. Caroline is survived by her husband, Victory of Norfolk; their children and spouses, Gary and Pat Dean of Norfolk, Michael and Marcee Dean of Keller, Texas, Stephanie and David Jenkins of Mililani, Hawaii; two brothers, Raymond Matteo and Albert Matteo; five grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Anthony Matteo and Joseph Matteo.
