Bio

Angelo Matteo, 68, funeral will be held Saturday with burial in Prospect Hill cemetery. He died early Wednesday morning in Norfolk. He was born Feb 25, 1898 at Vinchiaturo, Italy to Mr. and Mrs. Pascale Matteo, He came to the United States in 1914 at the age of 16. He was naturalized in 1921. He was married on June 12, 1919 to Carmella Alma ** at Omaha. He was survived by his wife, 5 children: Al, Ray, Mrs. Caroline Dean all at Norfolk; Joseph at Fremont, Anthony at Diamond Bar, California; 20 grandchildren, 3 sisters: Doria, Christine, Theresa all in Italy. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers.
