Rudolph C. Trouba Jr. LINCOLN - Rudolph "Rudy" C. Trouba Jr., 79, of Lincoln died Jan. 1 at his home in Lincoln. Rudolph "Rudy" Trouba was born Oct. 4, 1926 to Rudolph Sr. and Lucille (Rezac) Trouba in Omaha. He served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a retired farmer and also worked at Lincoln Telephone and Telegraph for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and nieces. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Vernetta, of Lincoln; daughters and son-in-law, Linda Gropp of Lincoln and Rebecca and Rick Sr. Brazau of Davey; sons and daughter-in-law, Larry Trouba of Lincoln and Ron and Suzanne Trouba of Denton; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Emil and Bonnie Trouba, Fred and Gladys Trouba, Stanley and Phyllis Trouba, Marvin and Jean Trouba and Dwayne and Paulette Trouba, all of Lincoln and Ted Trouba of Cortland; sister and brother-in-law, Adeline and Joe Palensky of Lincoln. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, Jan. 5 at North American Martyrs Catholic Church in Lincoln with Rev. Scott Courtney and Rev. Charles Van Dliet officiating. Burial was at Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. Roper and Sons Funeral Home in Lincoln was in charge of the arrangements.
