CORTLAND — Theodore M. Trouba, 83, of Cortland, died May 31, 2012. Trouba was a retired farmer, and member of St. James Catholic Church in Cortland, Lincoln Czech Caraliers and Cortland Pitch players. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Lynne Trouba from Columbus; daughters, Berni Anne Leffers of Lincoln, Joyce Scholl of Steinauer; daughter and son-in-law, Patti and Larry Wollenburg of Geneva; daughter, Sharon Lester of Florida; son, Steve Trouba of England; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters-in-law, Emil and Bonnie, Stanley and Phyllis, Marvin and Jeanie, Duane and Paulette; sister and brother-in-law, Adeline and Joe Palensky; sisters-in-law, Vernetta Trouba and Gladys Trouba, both of Lincoln, Grace Benes of Cortland; several nieces and nephews; brother-in-laws, Alvin Benes, Leo Benes, Vlad Benes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy, parents Rudy Sr. and Lucy, brothers, Rudy Jr. and Fred, and nephew, Glenn. Mass of Christian burial will be at St. James Catholic Church in Cortland with Fr. Leo Sieker officiating. Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home Lincoln in charge of arrangements. Burial will be at Lincoln Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to St. James Catholic Church, Cortland Fire & Rescue or donor's choice.
