Bio

Marvin Vitus Trouba, 83, of Lincoln, passed away on September 30, 2023. Born on September 15, 1940, he was the 9th of 10 children of Rudolph and Lucille Trouba. Marvin attended Raymond School K-12 and served in the Air National Guard from 1959 to 1965, where he was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Throughout his life, he was an active member of Knights of Columbus in Denton, American Legion in Denton, Kings Men - Pink Sisters, and Goodyear Sportsman Club. He worked for the State of NE Department of Roads for 13 years, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company for 27 years and Eastmont Towers for 19 years. Marvin loved fishing, hunting, traveling, a clean car and a meticulously groomed yard. He enjoyed watching his granddaughters play volleyball and his grandson sing, act and play in band. Marvin was a great conversationalist, always making others feel special. He was a hard worker, devout Catholic, good friend, loving husband, and an amazing dad and grandpa. Marvin is survived by his wife of 63 years, Jeannie, daughters Carla (Ron) Kruml of Lincoln, and Diane (Chris) Heyne of Omaha, grandson James Kruml of Lincoln, granddaughters Brooke, Lily, and Ava Heyne of Omaha, brother Duane (Paulette) Trouba of Lincoln, sisters-in-law Phyllis Trouba of Omaha and Judy Chuda of Lincoln, brother-in-law Don Stara of Bee, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers and sisters-in-laws Rudy & Vernetta, Emil & Bonnie, Ted & Dorothy, Fred & Gladyce, Stanley, 2 infant brothers, sister Adeline Palensky, and brother-in-law Joe Palensky. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1940 S. 77th Street, Lincoln, with visitation on Thursday, October 5th, from 2-7 PM, with family present from 5:30-7 pm, and Rosary beginning at 7 pm at Butherus, Maser & Love Funeral Home, 4040 A Street.
