Services Held for Raymond Anliker --- Funeral services for Raymond Henry Anliker were held Wednesday, June 18, 1986, 10:00 a.m. at the West Bend Apostolic Christian Church with the Ministers of the Apostolic Church officiating. Burial was in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in West Bend, Iowa, with the Schellhammer Funeral Home of West Bend in charge of arrangements. Casket bearers were: Walt Anliker, Elmer Schmidt, Clarence Kachelmuss, Harold Hodel, Noah Gerber, and Oscar Zaugg. Raymond Henry Anliker, son of Noah and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Anliker, was born on December 15, 1920 at West Bend, Iowa, where he was raised and educated. He attended the American Institute of Business in Des Moines, Iowa. On June 19, 1948 he was united in marriage to Louise Knoblock at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa. The couple lived in West Bend, Iowa their entire life. Raymond Anliker served in the U.S. navy during World War II, operated a grocery store in West Bend for 13 years, was in the insurance security and real estate business for 24 years. He was a member of the West Bend Fire Department for 11 years, a member and past president of the West Bend Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Apostolic Christian Church of West Bend. Mr. Anliker passed away Sunday afternoon, June 15, reaching the age of 65 years. Surviving are: his wife Louise; children, Mrs. Pat (Julie) Zaugg, West Bend, Iowa; Kevin Anliker, Des Moines, Iowa; 4 grandchildren; 2 brothers, Earl Anliker, Plain, Wisconsin; and Dan Anliker, Mediapolis, Iowa; 5 sisters, Mrs. Lyle (Irene) Rick, West Bend, Iowa; Mrs. Joe (Hazel) Moser, Morris, Minnesota; Mrs. Donnie (Leona) Lanus, Algona, Iowa; Mrs. Dennis (Rachel) Fuller, Humboldt, Iowa; and Mrs. Mike (Esther) Steil, West Bend, Iowa, as well as other relatives and friends.
