Services Held For Noah Anliker, 89 --- Services for Noah P. Anliker of West Bend were held Saturday, November 2, 1985 at the Apostolic Christian Church in West Bend, with the Ministers of the Church officiating. Burial was in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery in West Bend. The Schellhammer Funeral Home of West Bend was in charge of the arrangements. Casket bearers were, grandsons, Kevin Anliker, Denny Anliker, Jay Anliker, Cal Lanus, Paul Moser, Tom Fuller, Jim Neighbors, Leland Anliker, Keith Anliker, Larry Moser, Jeff Anliker, Steve Lanus, Scott Anliker, Ken Anliker, Mark Steil, and Royce Anliker. Noah Paul Anliker was born June 5, 1896 at West Bend the son of Emil and Julia (Isch) Anliker. He was raised and educated in West Bend. On January 18, 1920, Noah was united in marriage to Elizabeth Schmidt at West Bend. The couple settled on a farm south of West Bend, where they were engaged in farming. Noah later operated a trucking business in the Bradgate area. His wife preceded him in death in August of 1943. In the early 1960's, Noah retired into West Bend. Due to health reasons, he entered the West Bend Care Center in 1978. Noah passed away Wednesday, October 30, 1985 at the Palo Alto County Hospital in Emmetsburg, reaching the age of 89 years. Surviving are: 3 sons and 5 daughters, Raymond Anliker of West Bend, Mrs. Lyle (Irene) Rick of West Bend, Earl Anliker of Plain, Wisconsin; Mrs. Joe (Hazel) Moser of Morris, Minnesota; Mrs. Don (Leona) Lanus of ALgona, Daniel Anliker of Mediapolis, Mrs. Dennis (Rachel) Fuller of Humboldt, Mrs. Mike (Esther) Steil of West Bend, 28 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 2 brothers, Ben Anliker of Versailles, Missouri, and Eli ANliker of Spirit Lake, Iowa. Noah is preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth; 2 sons, Richard and Paul; 2 daughters, Alice and Helen; 1 sister and 3 brothers. From: The West Bend (Iowa) Journal - 7 Nov 1985 edition
