Mrs. Emma Kippes, 62, of Elmont, died in St. Francis Hospital Monday morning. She was born in Russia, February 12, 1871, and came to the United States when she was 11 years old. She was the widow of the late Jacob Kippes. She is survived by three sons, Joseph Kippes, Johnson, Kan.; William and George Kippes, Elmont; eight daughters, Mrs. Susan Basgall, Chicago; Anna Joslin, Buhl, Idaho; Mrs. Elizabeth Leiker and Barbara Norlin, Johnson, Kan.; Mrs. Mary Pfannenstiel, Topeka; Mrs. Katie Herl, Munjor, Kan.; Mrs. Lena Worley, Blen, NM, & Mrs. Margaret Durant, Holly, Colo. Funeral services will be at St. Joseph's Church Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Topeka Daily Capital, 12/19/1933 Info provided by 47188065
