Bio

BARRON, Horace of Thorndale & Cedar Creek. Age 56. Died Wednesday, July 21, 1971 in a Bastrop hospital after an illness of several months. Services held at Condra Memorial Chapel in Taylor. Burial in the Taylor City Cemetery. Rev. Charles Young officiated. Condra Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Barron. BORN June 6, 1915 at Rice's Crossing, but was reared and received his schooling at San Gabriel. Married November 28, 1936 to Miss Mabel Westerman. He was a long time resident of Thorndale and a prominent businessman. He and his wife moved to Cedar Creek in 1968 where they resided at the time of his death. Employed by John Roberts, Inc. of Austin in maintenance work and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bastrop. Preceded in death by two sons, Donald Kenneth and Leon W. (Bebe) Barron. SURVIVORS: Wife, Mabel of Cedar Creek; daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Nancy) Heleman of Austin; son, Elton Ray Barron of Cedar Creek; brother, Noel T. Barron of Humble; sister, Mrs. Zoe Cooper of Humble; and five grandsons, several nieces, nephews & large circle of friends. [ [email protected] ]
