Joseph Leslie was born in Ennis, Texas, to the late Joseph W. and Agnes Zmolik Marusak. Joe graduated from St. John High School in Ennis. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp during World War II from 1945 to 1946 before he married Ella May VInkler on June 15, 1947. Joe was a man of many talents and known for his intelligence and wit.
