Bio
Walter C. Marusak, age 82, of Ennis, passed away October 7, 2013 at Legend Oaks in Ennis. He was born November 4, 1930 in Crisp, Texas to Joseph W. and Agnes (Zmolik) Marusak. He married Mary Alice Kuchar on November 7, 1953. Walter loved his family and was a devoted member of the St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church, member of Knights of Columbus, and First Catholic Slovak Association. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and especially gardening. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary; sons, Ronald Marusak of Dallas, Walter Edward Marusak and his wife Melinda of Garland; daughter, Jean Marusak of Ennis; grandchildren, Eric Green, Emily Green, Ethan Green, Cara Marusak, Christa Marusak, and Colin Marusak; brothers and sisters, Joe L. Marusak Sister Agnes Marie Marusak, Agnes Prachyl, Helen Mikel, Leonard Marusak and his wife Denise, George Marusak and his wife Mary K., Mary Ann Gagen and her husband Marty, Marcy Krieger and her husband Bill; sister-in-law, Nancy Marusak; numerous nieces and nephews. Walter is preceded in death by his daughter, Elizabeth Green; his parents, Joseph W. and Agnes Marusak; sisters, Pauline Blazek and Anna Catherine Marusak; brothers, Alex and David Marusak. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, October 9, 2013 with a Rosary at 7:00 P.M. in the Boze-Mitchell-McKibbin Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10 A.M., Thursday, October 10, 2013 in St. John Nepomucene Catholic Church with Father Henry Drozd as Celebrant. Entombment will be held at 3:00 P.M. in Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas. Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Green, Emily Green, Ethan Green, Cara Marusak, Christa Marusak and Colin Marusak.
