YOAKUM - Johana Helen Kurtz-Martins, 57, joined her heavenly family, Saturday, March 24, 2018. She was born November 27, 1960 in Port Lavaca to the late Edwin and Johana (Vinklarek) Kurtz. She was devoted to our Lord and lived with joy, a smile and sang with the voice of an angel. She taught at St. Joseph's Catholic School, Yoakum High School and Cuero High School. Preceded in death by her parents; brother, Richard Kurtz; sister-in-law, Donna Kurtz; nephew, David Kurtz. Visitation 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Thiele Cooper Funeral Home with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass 11 a.m. Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Msgr. John Peters officiating. Burial to follow at St. Ann's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements by Thiele Cooper Funeral Home, Published by the Victoria Advocate, March 26, 2018
