Evelyn Marie Prcin Leshikar, 86, was called home to her loving Father Saturday, July 30, 2016. Evelyn was born March 5, 1930, to Joe and Millie (Volcik) Prcin in Granger, Texas. She was married to Hudson Leshikar on Oct. 12, 1946. Evelyn and Hudson were very active in the community and helped with many community services. She was President of the Williamson County Texas A&M Mothers Club, President of the Taylor Ladies Auxiliary Volunteer Fire Department. She helped to publish a cookbook for the Women’s Auxiliary. Evelyn was very active with the Taylor Brethren Church and was a Christian Sister on the Taylor Brethren Ladies Circle. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Mille Prcin; husband of 63 years Hudson Leshikar; sisters, Dorothy Zycha, Lydia Fuessel, and Gardenia Konarek; brothers, Daniel, Victor and August Prcin; all her loving pets especially Penny and Aggie. She is survived by her sister, Sybil Schrader; sister-in-law, Dorothy Kaspar; brother-in-law, Johnny Zycha; daughters, Sharon Houston and husband Carroll, Dr. Peggy Leshikar, and Barbara Leshikar; two adopted daughters, Debbie Eaton and Shelia Draine; grandchildren, Jeff Houston and wife Laura, Carrie Romero and husband Zeke, Bryce Leshikar and Jacob Leshikar; great grandchildren, Drew Houston and Benjamin Romero; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Evelyn’s family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. Nathan Cohen, Rev. James Hejl and the Brethren Church for their support and prayers. They would also like to thank the wonderful and loving staff at the SPJST Nursing Home and Resolutions Hospice (especially Larry and Alex). Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016 at Providence Funeral Home. Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, at the Taylor City Cemetery. Donation may be made to the Taylor Brethren Church in memory of Evelyn Leshikar.
