Bio

Leshikar, Hudson 83, of Taylor passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009 at Will-O-Bell Rest Home in Bartlett. Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. Saturday, February 14, 2009, at Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration Life Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, February 15, 2009 at Providence Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Hejl officiating. Burial will follow at Taylor City Cemetery. Hudson was born in Williamson County on October 31, 1925 to William and Adele Leshi kar. He was a life long member and an elder for the Taylor Brethren Church, a member of the American Legion and served two years in the 63rd infantry in the Army. He was the assistant chief for the Taylor volunteer Fire Department and for the Taylor 4H youth group. He was a great musician and played in a polka band for many years. He was also an avid hunter and loved fishing. Hudson had a zest for life and loved his grandchildren dearly as well as his pets, especially Missy and Stubalina. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Willie Leshikar Jr., Franklin Leshikar, sisters, Adale Emrick, Alma Mikulencak and Margaret Pavlik. Hudson is survived by his wife, Evelyn Leshikar, children, Sharon Houston and husband Carroll of Holland, Dr. Peggy Leshikar of Nashville,TN, Barbara Leshikar of Ogden, UT, grandchildren, Carrie Houston of Holland, Jeffrey Houston and wife Laura of Conroe, Jacob Leshikar and Bryce Leshikar both of Nashville, TN.
