Nadine Wilson, 88, died Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017. Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at Johnson’s Funeral Home. Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Friday in Johnson’s Funeral Home Chapel. Survivors include her sons, Johnny Wilson and Roger Wilson; and daughter Gail Elder. Nadine Wilson May 24, 1929 - November 12, 2017 Nadine Hilburn Wilson, of San Angelo, passed away on Sunday, November 12, 2017. She was born in Gilmer, Texas, on May 24, 1929, to Rayford H. and Dolly Ellis Hilburn. Nadine grew up among 12 brothers and sisters. On November 17, 1946, Nadine married R. O. "Bob" Wilson, who would remain her partner until his death in 2010. Bob and Nadine began their family in 1947 and would have three sons and a daughter. Nadine was a loving supporter of her husband in his business, Wilson Tire & Automotive, and of her children in their many and varied life adventures. Nadine was a special woman who loved to laugh. She was a talented seamstress and avid crafter. She took pride in her creativity and devoted much of her time to decorating her home and cultivating an impressive garden. Nadine enjoyed being with family, teaching her children and, later, her grandchildren, to cook, bake, play games, and fish. Nadine also enjoyed traveling with her best friend, Meryl Owens. Travels took her as far as Alaska, Missouri, Arizona, and New Mexico, usually to celebrate family milestones such as weddings, births, and school/college graduations. Nadine was preceded in death by her parents, 12 siblings, husband, R. O. "Bob" Wilson, and son, Bobby Wilson. She is survived by two sons, Johnny Wilson and wife, Sandra, and Rodger Wilson and wife Molly, all of San Angelo, one daughter, Gail Wilson of Georgetown, TX, and Bobby's widow, Linda Wilson, of San Angelo. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; Kerry Ann Ramirez, Chelsea Ashton, Chesney Watson, Tina Martinez, Kimberly Martinez and husband, Chris, all of San Angelo, Dena Thompson of New Braunfels, TX, Chisom Wilson and wife Jennifer of Albuquerque, NM, Deja Elder of Yellowstone National Park, WY. Nadine also had 21 great grandchildren; Kelly and wife Katie, Kayla, Klorissa, Michael, Kade, Carter, Hunter, Addison, Bryce, Austen, Evelyn, Ryker, Wylder, Shawntiel, Shivayah, Sabrina, Megan, Alexis, Tiffany, Caylee, and Dezlynn, and 7 great-great grandchildren. A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Friday, November 17, 2017, at Johnson's Funeral Home, 435 West Beauregard, San Angelo. Interment will follow at Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens, 4989 FM Highway 1223.
