Wayne K. Stewart, age 80, of Hutchinson, Kansas, died August 21, 2017, at the Hutchinson Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson, KS. He was born September 1, 1936, in Lincoln, Kansas, the son of Glen and Irene (Nible) Stewart. Wayne retired from Borton Inc., where he worked for 60 years. He had many jobs at Borton: laborer, carpenter, superintendent, estimator, and CEO. On June 30, 1956, he married Geraldine Joyce 'Jo' Bewley in Atchinson, KS. They shared 61 years of marriage. Preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Harlan, Harold, Dale; sister-in-law, Rita; son, Ronald; daughters-in-law, Maggie; Debbie; grandson, Tony Stewart; and great-granddaughter, Anastasia Liles. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, Jo Stewart, Hutchinson, KS; sons, Charles (Mary) Stewart, Abilene, TX; Chris (Stacy) Stewart, Kansas City, KS; Pat Stewart, Hutchinson, KS; daughter, Della (Gene) Buchanan, Hutchinson, KS; brothers, Don Stewart, Houston, TX; Thayne (Edith) Norfolk, NE; sisters-in-law, Sheila, Smith Center, KS; Ellen, McCool Junction, NE; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren. Parish Rosary with Mass of Christian Burial at Church of the Holy Cross, Hutchinson, KS. Burial in South Round Springs Cemetery, Hunter, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Holy Cross Church (toward education) or Trinity High School. Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, KS.
