Bio

Thomas Ruzicka, 64, of Grand Island, Nebraska, died Monday, August 14, 2017, at his home with family by his side. Tom’s wishes were to be cremated. Inurnment will be in the Phillips Cemetery with a graveside committal service, Thursday, August 17, 2017, at 6:30 p.m. Robert Levander will officiate. Curran Funeral Chapel is assisting the family. Tom was born July 13, 1953, at Grand Island, NE. He was the son of Louis F. and Mary Ann (Kocian) Ruzicka. Survivors of the immediate family include his brothers and sisters, John (Judy) Ruzicka of Grand Island, NE Jim (Lola) Ruzicka of Grand Island, NE Richard (JoAnn) Ruzicka of Grand Island, NE Patricia Barr of Brenham, TX Numerous nieces and nephews. Tom grew up in Grand Island graduating from Grand Island Sr. High School in 1973. He was employed at Syngenta Seed Inc. and as a forklift driver for the Iams Co. He was preceded in death by his parents, two infant daughters, Rashel Lee and Lori Ann Ruzicka and a brother Robert Ruzicka.
